Shootout For Soldiers Philadelphia Will Now Be on June 26-27
The 24-hour lacrosse event that benefits American Veterans to be Held at the Episcopal Academy
Philadelphia, Pa. (April 9, 2018) – Due to the winter weather and extension of the Philadelphia school year, Shootout for Soldiers Philadelphia will now be held June 26-27, 2018 beginning at 3:30 pm. The event will still take place at The Episcopal Academy.
Last year, 4,250 spectators and 850 participants attended the Shootout For Soldiers event, and a combined effort of both individuals and teams helped to raise nearly $66,000 for veteran charities. Currently sitting atop the fundraising efforts for the 2018 event are the reigning champions, Olde English Lacrosse Club, who last year raised a staggering $13,090.
The 2017 edition featured special games such as father-son games, school faculty and family scrums, and alumni game that brought together players both young and old. Event Organizer Christ Bates intends to build upon the success of last year’s event, bringing more to the table for the enjoyment of the participants, players, and veterans.
