“I first heard about Shootout for Soldiers while stationed in Germany in 2012. I was playing lacrosse with the Kaiserslautern Lumberjacks and this crazy idea of playing lacrosse to raise money for wounded veterans caught my eye. I followed the Shootout grown and when I returned to the states in 2014, I applied to have Boston added as one of the SFS cities. Since then, the Shootout, and more importantly the veterans, supporters, and organizers of the Shootout, have become an integral part of my life. It is more than an event: it’s a mindset of serving something bigger than yourself through the Medicine Game we all love.”
