SHOOTOUT FOR SOLDIERS RETURNS TO BALTIMORE

The 24-hour lacrosse event benefiting wounded American veterans will be held at McDonogh High School in Owings Mills, MD on June 22 and 23

BALTIMORE, MD (January 21, 2016) – Shootout for Soldiers, the 24-hour lacrosse event, will return to Baltimore for the fourth year this summer. Since its inception in Baltimore, Shootout for Soldiers has raised more than $600,000 for wounded U.S. service members, and looks to further its efforts this year. Last year, Shootout for Soldiers Baltimore drew in more than 16,000 attendees who not only enjoyed the games, but live entertainment, activities, sponsor booths, and a barbeque.

Shootout for Soldiers Baltimore Organizer, Karen Bolewicki, is blown away by the organization’s growth. “Each year, the Baltimore event gets better and better and last year was no exception. It was incredibly humbling to witness over 16,000 people supporting our nation’s veterans at last year’s event”, Bolewicki shared.

Shootout for Soldiers Baltimore is paying particular attention to the festival like experience this year. Bolewicki continued, saying “We’re looking forward to expanding upon the event experience this year, particularly in bringing back a live band and having more activities for our event attendees throughout the event”.

In addition to returning to Baltimore, the event will expand to three new cities, with a

total of eight events, in 2016 after raising over $408,000 last year. Those interested in participating in the June 22 and 23 Baltimore event can begin to register on March 1st at www.ShootoutForSoldiers.com. The games are open to both male and female teams of all ages, with honorary Veterans games opening each event.
