Shootout for Soldiers is proud to announce and welcome back The Parlour staff for 2016! “The Parlour for Patriots” will be back at SFS Baltimore, offering free haircuts for donations. Owner, Lindsay Welsh and The Parlour staff has generously pledged to raise $1,000 through haircut donations Wednesday and Thursday at St. Paul’s!

Growing up with an older brother, former USMC Major Thomas H. Welsh Jr., gave Lindsay a first hand look of what life is like for military members and their families.  Deployed on several occasions with Marines Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC), Lindsay experienced several years away from her own brother while he was serving his country.

Her personal experience gives Lindsay added motivation to contribute to the cause Shootout for Soldiers supports. “I have a personal connection to this…” Lindsay said. “Having an older brother who has continued to serve over seas year after year.”

The Parlour crew pushed on through the thunderstorms last year at McDonogh, cutting hair late into the late night hours.

The Parlour Salon will be opening up shop at Shootout For Soldiers 2016 as ‘The Parlour For Patriots’ for the 2nd year in a row!

“Despite the thunderstorms, pouring rain and winds The Parlour For Patriots managed to collect $800+ in donations in turn for some rad haircut just in time for summer!”

And trust us…some were more rad than others! Our logistics coordinator, Geron Brooks received the Shootout for Soldiers special.

“Doing what we can to give back to our nations veterans who have given up so much of themselves for us is something we are always willing to do,” Lindsay said. The Parlour is hoping that folks remember to cancel any haircut appointments scheduled for this week, and instead use that money as a donation after getting your hair cut at the event.

Lindsay and her staff of girls will be closing down their salon in Timonium and will be instead open for business June 22nd and 23rd at Shootout for Soldiers Baltimore! So come see Lindsay Welsh, Emily Brilliant and Francesca Marchese and receive an awesome cut for an even better cause.
