UNCASVILLE, Conn. (January 20, 2017) – The New England Black Wolves will partner with Shootout for Soldiers to host Military Appreciation Day on February 19th at 1 p.m. when they face-off against the Buffalo Bandits at Mohegan Sun Arena.
“The Black Wolves are proud to host Military Appreciation Day.” said Amber Cox, the vice president of the Connecticut Sun and New England Black Wolves. “Partnering with Shootout for Soldiers gives us a wonderful opportunity to recognize the sacrifices our veterans have made and raise awareness among our incredible Black Wolves fan base regarding issues these brave men and women face on a daily basis.”
For every Military Appreciation Day ticket sold, the Black Wolves will donate a ticket to a Veteran. Tickets are priced at $13. In addition to the ticket promotion, the team will host a post-game clinic for participants of Shootout for Soldiers Boston with Black Wolves’ players. Throughout the game there will also be a number of ways for fans to give back, including a 50/50 ball toss in benefit of Shootout for Soldiers.
“We’re honored to work with a first class organization in the New England Black Wolves,” explains Shootout for Soldiers Executive Director Tyler Steinhardt. “We hope that this Military Appreciation Game will raise funds for our nation’s Veterans, bring attention to veterans issues and provide an opportunity for the lacrosse community to get involved in meaningful work that gives back to those who have given so much for our country.”
