What is Shootout for Soldiers?

Shootout for Soldiers is a 501(c)3 charity that uses the platform of sports to support active-duty military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. We accomplish this though raising awareness of the sacrifice military service members and first responders provide everyday, building meaningful connections between civilian and military communities, funding programs and initiatives that support veterans and service members, as well as creating opportunities for communities to give back through service and participation.

Our Mission is to use lacrosse as a platform to support American veterans and foster community engagement. With a decade of dedicated collaboration from local communities, lacrosse players, and the U.S. military, Shootout for Soldiers has emerged as a highly regarded industry partner, offering an unmissable and eagerly anticipated event.

The Shootout for Soldiers Experience

At the heart of Shootout for Soldiers is our signature lacrosse events, which have reached coast to coast of the continental United States, and some smaller events have been hosted in Hawaii and on military bases across the world.

Teams and players take the field around the clock, creating a unique atmosphere that combines competition, camaraderie, and purpose. Throughout the event, participants hear stories from military members and veterans, engage in community activities, and celebrate the spirit of service that defines the Shootout for Soldiers mission.

Shootout for Soldiers Grants

Through the generosity of our participants, sponsors, donors, and community partners, Shootout for Soldiers provides grant funding to organizations and programs that directly support active-duty military service members, veterans, first responders and their families.

Our grant program is designed to extend the impact of every event beyond the lacrosse field by investing in initiatives that improve quality of life, promote wellness, strengthen communities, and provide meaningful resources to those who have served our nation.

We prioritize funding for programs that align with our mission of honoring service, supporting military and veteran communities, and creating lasting positive change. Grant recipients may include veteran service organizations, military support programs, adaptive sports initiatives, mental health and wellness programs, family assistance efforts, and other mission-driven nonprofits making a measurable impact.

Shootout for Soldiers grants at least 30% of what is raised by each individual event to support active duty and veteran service members, first responders, and their families to organizations within the community the event is hosted in.
