The Shootout for Soldiers staff would like to give special thanks to artist Patrick Reid O’Brien for his contributions to this year’s events. He has been an avid supporter of the Shootout for Soldiers since 2012 and has helped by donating his artwork to our silent auction in an effort to maximize our fundraising for wounded American veterans. O’Brien, a graduate of St. Mary’s College, began his art career when he started to commission paintings of players at his kid’s lacrosse tournaments.

O’Brien has commissioned paintings for musician Jimmy Buffett, The White House Historical Society, lacrosse legend Gary Gait, former Baltimore Raven Matt Stover, and many others. He is a three-time winner of the Maryland Governor’s Cup race poster competition and won first place at the Hampton Classic International Poster Competition in 2012. He has been featured in magazines such as Art Business News, Southern Living and Chesapeake Living.

We are very grateful for his continued support of our mission!
