Shootout for Soldiers is the only organization that connects the strength of the US military community with one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. Lacrosse. For over a decade, Shootout for Soldiers is historically and consistently viewed as THE organization to reach out to for all things military and lacrosse.
Our Mission is to use Lacrosse as a platform to support American veterans and foster community engagement.
Founded in 2012 as a senior project, this event has grown exponentially both in reach and impact. More than $5 million has been raised to support veteran service organizations.
Teams across the country are invited to register for their local lacrosse tournament. There are 24, 1-hour games in a row, and a running score is kept between the two teams, Brave and Free. Participating teams play in one 1-hour slot during the event and the event is open to men’s and women’s teams of all ages.
Spectators and supporters are encouraged. Everyone enjoys a festival like atmosphere and a powerful way to honor our nation’s servicemembers.
